This is a method which is used in working with children in kindergarten and preschool. It is performed by reading the children fairy tales or providing them with individual reading materials.
Fairytales provide new knowledge about the world and people in it- helps in understanding people’s attitudes and behaviors
Help in understanding oneself and the world – a fairy tale offers form and structure, and shows the norms and rules that govern it; a structured and predictable picture of the world builds a sense of security
Teach us to follow a moral code and encourages moral actions – in fairy tales the world is fair and governed by clear rules; nobility is rewarded
Help in solving personal problems and difficult situations
Treat undesirable mental states, such as anxiety, low self-worth, loneliness, boredom, and apathy
Help children in dealing with the emotions that arise as a result of adverse events and sensitize to aesthetic experiences
Help children to accept their strengths and weaknesses
